Sue Francis Jillson

Sue Francis Jillson, 88 of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. She was born on May 31, 1927 in Chanute, Kansas to Archie and Hazel (Cottrell) Newland. She was raised in Kansas and Chicago and married Earl Wiley during World War II and they later divorced. She remarried J. Austin Jillson and they lived around California while he served in the US Navy. Sue is survived by four children, Norma Young and husband Chuck, Kenneth Jillson, Jim Jillson and wife Dorena and Judy Miller; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Nelda Poulos; and her brother, Bobby Newland and wife Liz. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J. Austin Jillson; brothers, Howard, Eldred and Ivyl Newland; and sisters, Zana Davis and Joanne Gerss. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Ave., NE with Father Mike Shea celebrating.
