Paul R. Switzer

Age 87, a resident of Edgewood, NM, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, July 18, 2014. He was born in 1926 in Thomas, OK to Aaron & Annie Switzer. He and his wife Glenna moved to Albuquerque, NM in the Fall of 1952 where he made his livelihood building custom homes. Paul equally enjoyed farming and ranching. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Glenna; his sons, Rick and wife, Jacque, Bob and wife, Vicki, Roger and wife, Cherrian; his daughters Paula Porter and Beth Aultman and husband Mike, 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous other family and friends. Mr. Switzer was preceded in death by his parents, five siblings, his granddaughter Sara Porter, and his son-in-law Matt Porter. He was an active member of Sandia Brethren in Christ Church in Albuquerque for many years. Services will be Monday, 11:00 a.m., at Desert Light Christian Church, 541 Utah NE, Albuquerque, NM. with burial following at Mountain Valley Cemetery in Edgewood/Barton.
