Nonnie Mae Massegee

Nonnie Mae Massegee, age 95, long-time resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 1, 2015. She was born in Memphis, TN to Charles and Fredrica McCluskey. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Percy Van Massegee; her two children, Lanea June Massegee and Richard Vance Massegee; one grandchild: Johnny Lee Massegee; brother, Charles McCluskey; and sister, Mary McCluskey Harwell. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Mae Anderson and husband, Earl, Carl Van Massegee and wife, Sheila, Dennis Lee Massegee and wife, Ann, and Gwendolyn Ann Hughes and husband, Lyn; 10 grandchildren, Col. Kirk VanCharles Johnson, Scott Richard Hilding Johnson, Mark Van Massegee, Phillip Scott Richter, Jason Christopher Richter, Lorretta Ann Massegee Silva, Dennis Lee Massegee, II, Daniel Richard Hughes, Amy Elizabeth Hughes and David Lyn Hughes; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was a long-time member of Hoffmantown Church. She worked side by side with her husband in the family business, Percy's Service Station in the south valley. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., FRENCH-University. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Bvd. NE.
