Linus C. Runde

Linus C. Runde, 76, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away at home on March 27, 2015, after a long battle with melanoma cancer. There will be a Memorial Mass on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, 9:00 a.m., at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School RD, NE, Albuquerque, NM. Linus was born September 22, 1938 in Hazel Green, WI, and grew up on the family farm in Louisburg, WI. For 22 years Linus was a Dominican Brother, serving in Iowa, IL and Minnesota. After leaving the order, he married Lucille M. Duval on June 11, 1981. They then moved to Albuquerque. As a licensed electrician, he founded Runde Electric Co., which he retired from in 2014. Linus was still very active in his church, prayer groups, and served on the board of directors of the parish retreat house. He is survived by his wife Lucy; a sister, Jeannette (George) Rieder; brothers, Ronald (Marian) Runde of Cuba City, WI, and Thomas (Sharon) Runde of Hazel Green, WI., and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his sister, Phyllis. A sincere thank you goes to Linus's special friends for all their dedication, prayers and love, especially during Linus's illness.
