Janet Juanelle Rhodes

Janet Juanelle Rhodes (Jan), 66, went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2014, after complications related to diabetes. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister. Janet loved to sew, quilt and crochet. She took pride in her family and showered her generosity and kind heart on those she loved. Janet loved being a grandmother to all her grandchildren and held especially dear to her heart, her grandson, Justin. Jan was born August 25, 1948 in Lubbock, TX. She moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1964 and Albuquerque remained her home. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Delbert Rhodes; her mother, Virginia; daughters, Heather Rhodes-Whitley (Stony Whitley) and April Rhodes Maddox (Don Maddox, Jr.); her grandchildren, Justin Rhodes (Andrea), Jeff Whitley (Stephanie), Emily Whitley, Thomas Whitley, Brandon Maddox and Brittany McCoy; four great-grandsons; as well as two sisters, Doris Rhodes and Carol Jameson, and their children. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Opal, and father, Virgil Rhodes. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, .
