Beatrice V. Pineda

Beatrice V. Pineda, 81, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM, was called to eternal rest on Wednesday, May 27th. She entered the world on March 20th, 1934 in EspaA�ola, NM. She is preceded in death by her parents JosAC. Ignacio and Genevieve Martinez, husband Jess Pineda, twin sister Martha, and brothers Horace and Gerald Martinez. She is survived by her sister Evangeline Martinez, children Jerome (Ana), Lawrence (Laurie), Gerard (Bridget) and Jessica Slater (Robert), grandchildren Ashley, Jazmyne, Lauren, Jack, Caroline, Rose, Maria, Andrew, Katie Ryan, Gehrig, Emily and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pineda had a deep love of country having worked for the Secret Service in the 1960s and the Department of Energy from 1985-2005. However, her most cherished vocation was that of wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Pineda and her late husband wed in Albuquerque and shortly thereafter moved to Mexico City, where they started their family. Her love and affinity for her roots brought the family back to their beloved New Mexico in 1972 to raise more children and be around extended family. Mrs. Pineda's devotion to raising her children was her true joy. Service to her faith community was also important, as she was a Lay Canossian, and former choir member at both Our Lady of Annunciation and Sangre De Cristo churches. She will be dearly missed by all. Rosary will be recited Monday, June 1st at 7:00 pm at FRENCH - Wyoming Chapel, with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 2nd at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Annunciation Church, 2532 Vermont NE. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
