Art was preceded in death by his son, Steven Kitch; his brother, G.J., and his sister, Mary. Art enjoyed traveling with his wife and family, and belonged to the Friendship Force of New Mexico, which gave him the privilege of making new friends world-wide. His travels took him all over the world, visiting all seven continents. Art was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ who loved his church and family. As a longtime member of Central United Methodist Church, he was very involved with his friends in the "Partnership Class," which was originally called the "Young Marrieds' Class." As a child, Art sang with the French's Boys Choir and his love of singing continued all his life. He was a generous man who devoted much time to many organizations including Meals on Wheels, Civitan, and his church. Following many years of employment with the telephone company, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his first business, the Menaul Aquatic Club, which he and his family owned and operated for 16 years. Art was involved in owning numerous other business enterprises such as Tom Young's Health Spa, Reeves Pipe and Supply and many apartment projects and mobile home parks.
